ENSEMBLE PROGRAMME:
​TEA FOR TWO

  • This is a PIANO ENSEMBLE PROGRAMME for pre-formed ensembles of all ages and levels. This will be opened to the public. Students who are not under The Music Studios' programme are welcomed to sign up as well.

  • A  ONE MONTH LONG PROGRAMME where duos explore 4-HAND, 2-PIANO AND TRIO LITERATURE through guided rehearsals with their primary teacher during usual lesson times. Repertoire will be assigned to each duo if there is no preferred piece in mind.

  • Duos will be coached by Dr. Khoo Hui Ling and Ms. Yee Yun Ying in a PIANO ENSEMBLE MASTERCLASS.
 
  • These rehearsals and coachings culminate in a LIVE RECITAL at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, followed by an ONLINE BROADCAST of the concert on Christmas Eve, 'Tea for Two at Christmas'!​
 
  • Working with a partner is a fun way of engaging with music whilst learning about TEAMWORK. Families are highly encouraged to enrol as a parent-child/sibling duo as it is a unique FAMILY BONDING ACTIVITY.
FEES and DEADLINES
Public fee: $85/participant
TMS students: $72/participant, after a 15% discount
Register by 1 November 2024. Vacancies are limited and based on a first come first served basis.

VENUES, DATES and TIMINGS
October - November 2024: Coachings with the primary teacher will be held at the teacher's studio.
23 November 2024, between 2-6pm: Masterclasses at the studio of Dr Khoo Hui Ling. Duos will be allocated a 30-45 minute slot.
1 December 2024, 1-2pm: Live recital at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music.
24 December 2024, 8pm: Online broadcast of live recital "Tea for Two at Christmas"
